NWU Post-UTME/DE Form 2026/2027: Course Cut-Off Marks, Fee and Registration Steps

Northwest University, Kano has announced its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for candidates seeking undergraduate admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The online registration period will run from Monday, 10 August to Sunday, 23 August 2026. Candidates must have selected Northwest University as their first choice during the 2026 UTME or Direct Entry admission exercise.

The screening charge is ₦2,000.

Who Can Apply for NWU Post-UTME Screening?

UTME applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Northwest University, Kano must be the candidate’s first choice.
  • The candidate must have at least five SSCE credits or their equivalent.
  • English Language and Mathematics must be among the required credits.
  • The results must have been obtained in no more than two sittings.
  • The candidate must meet the tolerable UTME score for the chosen programme.

The O’Level requirement applies to both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.

What Are the NWU Direct Entry Requirements?

Direct Entry candidates must possess a 2026 Direct Entry online registration slip.

They must also hold one of the following qualifications:

The minimum result requirements are:

  • A CGPA of 3.0 for science-based programmes
  • A CGPA of 3.5 for art-based programmes
  • Nine points in NCE
  • Seven points in science-based IJMB programmes
  • Eight points in art and social science-based IJMB programmes

Direct Entry candidates must also have at least five SSCE credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.

How to Register for NWU Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening

The registration will be completed through the university’s admission portal.

Step 1: Visit the NWU Website

Candidates should visit the Northwest University website and click “2026 Admission Portal”.

The portal will provide access to the screening registration page.

Step 2: Generate the Payment Invoice

The candidate should generate a NABROLL payment invoice through the portal.

Payment may be completed online or at any bank nationwide.

Step 3: Pay the Screening Charge

A screening charge of ₦2,000 will be paid through the approved payment process.

The payment invoice should be generated from the admission portal before payment.

Step 4: Complete the Registration

After payment, the candidate should return to the portal and complete the screening registration form.

All supplied information should match the candidate’s academic records.

Step 5: Print the Acknowledgement Slip

The acknowledgement slip should be printed after registration.

The slip will be presented with the candidate’s other credentials during the aptitude test or Direct Entry screening.

What Is the NWU Screening Registration Deadline?

Registration will begin on Monday, 10 August 2026 and close on Sunday, 23 August 2026.

A candidate who fails to register within this period will not be considered for admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Deadline for Changing University or Programme

Candidates who wish to change their selected university or programme through the JAMB Green Card must complete the change before midnight on 9 August 2026.

The change should be completed before the Northwest University screening registration begins.

Credentials Must Be Uploaded to JAMB

Candidates must upload their required credentials through the JAMB E-Facility.

Applicants should confirm that their uploaded credentials are complete before the screening deadline.

Candidates Must Enter Correct SSCE Grades

Each applicant must enter the correct grades shown on the SSCE result during registration.

Any difference between the grades entered on the application form and the original result will lead to cancellation of the admission during screening.
