Poco Lee Reportedly Released From UK Custody as Peller Claims Complainant Dropped Case
Nigerian dancer and hypeman Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Odinaka, has reportedly regained his freedom in the United Kingdom, according to social media personality Peller.
Peller made the claim during a livestream, saying the woman who brought the case against Poco Lee had allegedly withdrawn from the matter, which he claimed led to the dancer’s release.
Peller Claims Poco Lee Is Out
According to Peller, the complainant allegedly stopped pursuing the case, after which Poco Lee’s UK lawyer was able to secure his release.
The claim quickly circulated online, with several reports repeating Peller’s account. However, the reported release and alleged withdrawal of the case had not been independently confirmed by the UK court or prosecutors at the time of the latest reports.
UK Prosecutors Say the Case Is Still Active
The situation became more complicated after the UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that the case remains active.
The CPS said Poco Lee is still scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH). The prosecution service did not confirm whether he had been released on bail or remained in custody.
This means reports that the case has been completely dropped should not be presented as confirmed fact at this stage.
Poco Lee’s UK Case
Poco Lee was previously reported to have been remanded in the UK following allegations arising after his visit to London for the Davido and Friends event at Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14.
He faces five sexual-offence charges, according to reports: one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. He remains legally presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
