Doris Ogala campaign donation refund

Actress Doris Ogala Reacts After Man Who Donated to Her Campaign Asked for Refund

Nollywood actress and Abia State governorship aspirant, Doris Ogala, has reacted after a man who donated ₦1,000 to her political campaign later asked her to return the money.

Ogala had earlier shared her bank details on Facebook while appealing to members of the public to support her political ambition. She said contributions, regardless of the amount, would be appreciated.

A man who identified himself as a marketing executive subsequently donated ₦1,000 to the campaign and publicly announced the contribution.

However, the situation changed after Ogala responded to the donation. The actress reportedly suggested that the man’s contribution may have been intended to mock her governorship ambition.

The donor later demanded that Ogala refund the money, giving her 24 hours to return the ₦1,000.

“Doris Ogala, You have 24 hrs to refund my donation. Send me back my money!! This is not a character of a Governor.”

Reacting to his demand, Ogala appeared unfazed and responded:

“After all my prayer for you. May God refund you in your own coin.”

The exchange has since attracted reactions online, with social media users discussing whether political donations should be refundable and whether the donor’s contribution was made in good faith.

Ogala is currently seeking to challenge Governor Alex Otti in the race for the Abia State governorship. Her fundraising appeal is part of her efforts to mobilise financial support for her political campaign.

The incident has added another layer to the public attention surrounding the actress’s political ambition.
